“Should exotic animals be pets.” This is a question people have been asking for many years but I am here to say what the best option is. The best option is not to own an exotic animal. According to http://www.wildcatsanctuary.org “The Humane Society of the United States strongly opposes keeping wild animals as pets — whether caught in the wild or bred in captivity — because few people can provide the care they require. As a result, wild animals often suffer from malnutrition or live in inhumane conditions.” This support the statement that exotic animals should’t be pets by knowing that by not having the rights materials the exotic animal will be suffering or worse the animal could die .

Another reason exotic animal should not be pets comes from the article “Wild animals are not pets” the article says that Terry Thompson opened the cages on his zanesville  farm springing dozens of lions, tiger, bears and other wild animals loose in the this caused him to kill himself and for the innocent animals to die by getting shot.

Another story that helps us support why exotic animals should not be pets by “Wild animals are not pets” is that in 2009, a 2-year-old Florida girl was strangled by a 12-foot-long Burmese python, a family pet that had gotten out of its aquarium. That same year, a Connecticut woman was mauled and disfigured by a neighbor’s pet chimp. Last year, a caretaker was mauled to death by a bear owned by a Cleveland collector. In Zanesville, it was the animals themselves, including 18 rare Bengal tigers, who became innocent victims.

The only way that you can own an exotic animal by having everything necessary to keep it healthy and alive. You can do this having the necessary food,habitat and the necessary treatment, First you make sure the animal is domestic then give it a good home with enough food. Still you also dont know if the animal could turn on you. And if it doesn’t turn on you you’re still going to waste a lot of money.

All these statements support that exotic animals should not be pets so the next time you think of buying an animal no matter how cute be careful of your options.
